Our digital Wide Area systems can be used for communication in Melbourne, Geelong, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide or Canberra or anywhere else where course-wide or area-wide coverage is required with a custom-built solution.

Utilising our Wide Area networks not only enables communication across large distances, but also unlocks other powerful features such as enhanced GPS tracking, blanket ‘all-call’ functionality and our advanced dispatch & management console.

Push to Talk over Cellular

We also have Push-to-Talk over Cellular rental options that can provide massive-area coverage solutions almost anywhere in Australia. Our fleet of fully 4G-capable devices utilize the Telstra Mobile Network and industry-leading Rapid™ platform to provide a seamless and limitless communication experience like no other.

No matter the location of your event, where there is sufficient Telstra coverage you’ll be in communication. 1km, 10km, 100km or 1000km – the coverage possibilities are endless.

Custom Event Communication Solutions

No matter the location of your event, we can design a solution to fit your requirements. With the right amount of planning and testing we can deploy a temporary digital single- or multi-site Wide Area system to provide communications for your event – no matter the size, difficulty or terrain.

Renta2way has custom designed and delivered a tailored system for the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race since it started in 2015. The Elite Men’s race covers a whopping 174km through Geelong, Barwon Heads, Torquay, Bells Beach and through Moriac back to finish in Geelong – all whilst staying in communication with the rest of the course through the multi-site Wide Area system we build specifically for this event. For such an event, course-wide communications is critical and ensures the event runs efficiently, safely and smoothly.

Over the past four years GTR Events has worked together with Renta2way to create comprehensive communication solutions at a reasonable cost to implement at our National and International Events. The team continuously provides a professional service and works closely with GTR to understand the full extent of our event requirements. Renta2way think outside the box when it comes to finding a solution to enhance coverage; whether it be a repeater in an airplane to cover a 170+km area, set up equipment at 4am in the bush to service a specific location or engineer battery eliminators for handheld radios. Over our peak summer period (1 month) Renta 2way provide over 737 units and approximately 350 man-hours to GTR Events.
