What is two way radio?

Two-way radio is the fastest and most efficient method of one-to-many communication for an event or workplace. Two-way radio is generally a simplex method of communication where only one user can talk at any time, and other units on the same channel within range will all receive the message of the transmitting user.

Our rental solutions will almost always operate in the commercial UHF band which is 450 – 520MHz. UHF is considered ‘line-of-sight’ meaning two users will be able to communicate provided there is a clear path between them.

UHF can work through moderate obstacles such as buildings, vehicles and trees however it has its limitations – very dense obstacles or terrain such as concrete, mountains, cliff faces or thick tree lines can quickly attenuate a signal and render simplex (radio-to-radio) communication unfeasible.

Our large fleet of KENWOOD, Icom and Tait commercial digital & analog radios can cater for any event, large or small. Whether your requirement is for only one to two days, a week or months at a time, we can supply two-way radio solutions at competitive rates. All of our rental equipment is kept to a strict service schedule to ensure we deliver only the most flawless and reliable communication solutions.

All hires are configured using our own private frequencies (used under 3rd party authorisation) that are commercially licenced to us by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (licence holder First Class Electronic Services Pty Ltd, ACMA client number 20015254)  so you can be sure your communications will go uninterrupted by outside interference from other parties.

We can tailor a solution to suit your event requirements with regards to channel quantities, channel names, customised voice announcements, GPS tracking, voice playback and a myriad of other functions. We have a number of different models available for hire and a wide range of accessories to suit.
