Renta 2-Way Portable Radio-Systems

Conventional (Simplex)

Conventional 2-way radio is a transmission directly to/from another radio. Since it is "line of sight," the range is limited by the curvature of the earth and obstructions, however is suitable to most applications.

Conventional (Repeaters)

A conventional repeater extends range by receiving the low power signal, amplifying it and re-transmitting at a higher power. It is often located on a high point (mountain, tower or building) to increase the "sight line" over the horizon.
Repeaters may also be located in a plant, warehouse, yard, campus, etc. to increase range within a specified area. These may be high or low power.

Smartrunk

The Smartrunk system is a radio system that allows many users to share radio channels, without the annoyance of having to wait for channel access or listening to other users on the channel. The trunked radio system operated by our associate company, Premier Trunked Radio Services, operates from a prime radio site in Melbourne and provides a radio network that covers most of the Metropolitan area. Renta 2 Way can provide access to the service and supply radio units to suit your needs. The Smartrunk system allows for individual calls between radios, dispatcher calls from the base to radios in the field, and group calls to all radios together.
